I’m a Boston-based artist and designer who splits his time between studio projects and consulting with clients.

I spent a dizzying three years as Creative Director of Boston magazine, where I oversaw the monthly publication, bimonthly ancillary titles, digital platforms, and marketing and events projects. And I got some notoriety for adapting the works of Edgar Allan Poe in a pre-Kickstarter crowdfunded project.

I’ve spent the bulk of my design career working with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and am probably best known for my work on MIT Technology Review—an off-again, on-again relationship that has spanned more than 25 years and numerous organizational changes.

I have lectured on art and design at TEDxBoston, Rhode Island School of Design, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and MIT. My artwork has been exhibited in Boston and Providence and my books are in the permanent collection of the Fleet Library as well as in several private collections.

My work has won dozens of awards from:
